Dealer Lead Pricing & Qualified Lead Terms
Clear rules help providers know what they are paying for before paid lead delivery is activated.
What counts as a qualified lead?
A qualified lead is a quote request submitted through SuffolkPropaneRates.com that contains a usable name and contact method, a service ZIP code within the dealer’s selected territory, and enough propane-account information to represent a genuine request for pricing or service.
- Valid homeowner or business contact information
- Delivery location in a service area the dealer selected
- Active propane quote or service interest
- Tank/account information supplied by the customer
- Not obviously automated, fake or abusive
Lead review / credit requests
A dealer can request review of a lead within 7 calendar days of delivery if it appears to be outside the selected service area, contains unusable contact information, is an obvious fake/spam submission, or is a duplicate of the same customer request previously sent to that dealer within 30 days.
A customer who does not answer, chooses another provider, decides not to buy, or rejects a dealer’s price is not automatically an invalid lead.
Existing customers
Existing-customer situations can be reviewed case by case during the initial dealer program. We expect to refine this rule using real dealer feedback before automated billing is introduced.
Service-area controls
Dealers can tell us which towns and ZIP codes they serve. Paid lead delivery should not be activated until service areas, pricing and billing expectations are confirmed with the dealer.
Public listings
Joining the dealer network does not require a public competitor profile. The current model is private quote matching.
ERP / dispatch information
We ask which ERP, dispatch or back-office software a dealer uses so future integrations can be prioritized. Selecting “Other” lets the dealer identify software not already listed.
Billing activation
Submitting an application does not itself authorize charges. Paid leads begin only after the dealer is approved and billing arrangements are separately confirmed.
Questions
Use the contact page for questions about lead quality, service areas or participation.
Pre-launch note: These operating rules are intentionally conservative for launch and should be reviewed by counsel before automated billing or large-scale paid lead distribution begins.
